The Community Advisory Council
I like being part of a group of people who look for ways to help make the lives of Hearth residents as problem fee and comfortable as possible. |
Tom Mullen, council member from Ruggles Affordable Assisted Living |
The goal of the Community Advisory Council is to provide a forum for clients to voice their opinions and help shape Hearth's policies. The advisory group, comprised of residents from each Hearth housing site along with Outreach clients, meets monthly to discuss isues of importance to them. Hearth Board of Visitors member Corey Bisceglia-Kane along with Hearth Board Member Greg Ansin, co-facilitate the meetings.
Currently the Community Advisory Council is working to address the overnight guest policy at some Hearth sites, the resident handbook, and the annual resident survey. The Council is also helping to plan Hearth's 20th Anniversary Resident Celebration.
