Outreach client Peter Phelps's artwork will be on display in the Piemonte Room at Boston City Hall Aug. 14 - Sept. 4th.

A closing reception and auction will take place at Hearth, in conjunction with the South End Open Studios, on September 20th and 21st.

In Memoriam: Mel Shapiro

Sadly a great friend to Hearth passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Mel Shapiro, a former Hearth (then CEEH) Board Member, died at the age of 93.

Celebrating Caring Partnerships

Mary Parker, George Motley, Mark HinderlieOn Wednesday, November 7, Nixon Peabody, LLP hosted Hearth's 2007 Annual Meeting. Bob Halloran - weekend news and sports actor at WCVB-TV Channel 5 and Hearth Board Member - emceed the event which welcomed the new Board of Visitors, introduced the new Board Members, and recognized Sailors' Snug Harbor of Boston and Doctor Mazur as the recipients of the Distinguished Service Award for their invaluable efforts on behalf of Boston's low-income and homeless elders.

CEEH is now Hearth

September 2005

After years of debate, the Committee to End Elder Homelessness has changed its name to Hearth, a name which  more accurately embodies our work and mission to find and house frail and complex elders in the community. The new name became official on September 12, 2005.  Read more
