Hearth's 2006 Annual Meeting

November 15, 2006

Home for Good, Hearth's 2006 Annual Meeting, took place on Monday, November 15 at the Great Hall in the State House.  Over 100 friends and supporters of Hearth gathered to celebrate the many accomplishments of the year.  Secretary Jennifer D. Carey (1) of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs opened the meeting.  Board Chair Mary Parker (6) introduced new President and CEO Mark D. Hinderlie (2), who shared his enthusiasm for the work that lays ahead.  Founders Ellen Feingold and Anna Bissonnette presented Boston Mayor Thomas Menino (3) with the Distinguished Service Award for his many years of support of Boston's needy elders.  Also honored at the meeting was former board member Bruce Taylor (6) for his invaluable service to the organization.

Many state legislators and their staffers showed support by collecting furnishings for the new residence in Jamaica Plain.  Representative Jeffrey Sanchez (4) presented Hearth with a sampling of the gifts.

Hearth would like to thank everyone who took part in the meeting, especially this year's Cornerstone Supporter Paradigm Properties.
