Announcing Hearth's New CEO
October 17, 2006
Hearth is pleased to announce the appointment of
our new President and CEO. Mark D. Hinderlie will join Hearth on November 6, 2006, replacing
Elisabeth D. Babcock who left to become CEO of the merged Women’s Union and Crittenton House.
Hinderlie was most recently President and CEO of Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Inc in Boston, where he was credited for his fundraising prowess and strong organizational talent. Previously, Hinderlie served as Chief Development Officer for the Franciscan Children’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Center from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, Hinderlie served as President of the Boston Children’s Institute and as Executive Vice President of the Home for Little Wanderers from 1999 to 2001. Hinderlie holds a MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University as well as an A.B. in English Literature from Yale College.
Hearth Board of Directors Chair, Mary S. Parker, states “Mark is a demonstrated leader and sound administrator whose life-long dedication to the underserved has honed essential skills in public policy, advocacy, and development which are vital to the growth of Hearth’s mission. While our talented and caring staff, ably led by our COO and acting CEO Ellen Nolan-Gard, have continued to serve and grow our mission during this transition, they are eager to embrace new challenges under Mark’s able direction.”
Please join us as we welcome Mark to Hearth at our Annual Meeting to be held on November 15 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the State House (invitations are forthcoming).
We thank you, our friends, for your past support and ask for your continued friendship and partnership as we open this next exciting chapter in our growth.
