Volunteers Needed! Meet artist Peter Phelps and help raise money for Hearth

Art Sale at Hearth at Burroughs Street
Sept. 26 and 27

Last year's art sale was such a big success - and so much fun - that we're holding another one! This year we are holding the art show at our Burroughs Street location in Jamaica Plain and taking part in the Jamaica Plain Open Studios.

Artist Peter Phelps has continued to paint for us, and we have about 100 paintings to sell in support of Hearth. The funds will help us continue our mission to end elder homelessness.

In order to make this event a success, we need lots of volunteers to help out. Each volunteer shift lasts 3 to 4 hours, and we're looking for 6 to 8 volunteers per shift (see schedule below).

If you like, plan to block off some time before or after your shift to visit other JP Open Studios sites in the area or have brunch at one of the many great restaurants in the neighborhood.

Shift Schedule:

Saturday
First Shift | 8:00am - 11:00 (set-up) | 4 more volunteers needed setting up the tent arranging tables hanging artwork etc
Second Shift | 11:00am - 3:00pm | 5 more volunteers needed painting wrapper/packager check-out greeter etc
Third Shift | 3pm - 7pm | 5 more volunteers needed may end early same as second shift plus help clean up

Sunday
First Shift | 8:00am - 11:00 (set-up) | 4 more volunteers needed setting up the tent arranging tables hanging artwork etc
Second Shift | 11:00am - 3:00pm | 5 more volunteers needed painting wrapper/packager check-out greeter etc
Third Shift | 3pm - 7pm | 5 more volunteers needed may end early same as second shift plus help clean up pizza party with residents!!!
