Many of the 40 residents at Hearth's Ruggles Affordable Assisted Living Community would benefit from the help of volunteers who accompany the elders to their medical appointments around Boston. | Read more

Front Desk Volunteer

Greet Visitors and Support Staff

Volunteers at the front desk of Ruggles Assited Living Facility and Hearth at Olmsted Green play an important role in the day-to-day operations of these senior housing programs. In addition to greeting all visitors, they also help staff with the daily operations of the program and also chat with the elderly residents. | Read more

Knitting Group Leader

Assist Seniors with Simple Knitting Projects

Hearth is looking for a volunteer to lead a small weekly knitting group at Uphams Corner ElderHouse in Dorchester. Although the group is small (currently two elderly women), they are very devoted. There has been a knitting group at ElderHouse since it opened 10 years ago. | Read more
